What is OPDesk?
OPDesk is OPD software for a clinic in India that still runs on a paper register. A receptionist types the last four digits of a phone number and the file opens, including a misspelt name. The token shows on any TV in the waiting room. The doctor writes the visit on one screen and it saves as they type. The prescription prints on the clinic letterhead. Solo is ₹4,999 a year. Clinic is ₹9,999 a year. Founding price for the first 20 clinics is ₹3,999 a year. Prices exclusive of GST. Every plan starts with a free 1-month pilot. Request a demo. Built by a software engineer from Kadapa. Launching first in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh.
How long does it take to start using it?
Request a demo on this site. We review it and send an activation link on WhatsApp and email. Set your password and the queue is live in one sitting. No setup fee. The patient registration form is name, phone, age and sex.
What happens when the pilot ends?
Nothing is deleted. After the free 1-month pilot you can start a yearly plan, or ask us for a copy of your records.
Do I have to move my old paper records in first?
No, and most clinics should not. Start with today's patients: the second visit is when a patient's history matters, so the file fills itself as people come back. If you want old registers typed in, do it slowly in the gaps, or not at all.
What do I need to buy?
A laptop or desktop at the front desk with a browser, and your existing internet. If you want the waiting-room board, any TV with a browser, or an old laptop plugged into the TV by HDMI. Prescriptions print on A4, on any printer your computer can print to. There is no server to buy and nothing to install.
How fast is it to find a returning patient?
Type the last four digits of the phone number, or the name as you think it is spelt. The search forgives spelling mistakes, so "shreenivas" finds "Srinivas Rao".
What does the prescription look like?
It prints on the clinic letterhead from the visit you just closed. Standard dosing instructions print in 8 Indian languages, Telugu first. Free-text advice stays in English. A 1-0-1 line prints as Morning & Night, after food, for 5 days.
Does it slow down my consultation?
No. The consultation is one screen (complaint, vitals, notes and prescription), and it saves as you type.
Can two doctors use it at the same time?
Yes. Several doctors can sign in to one clinic. Today they share one queue and one waiting-room board. Solo is priced for 1 doctor. Clinic adds receptionist and admin roles.
What stops the front desk from seeing another clinic's patients?
Every record carries its clinic's identifier. The filter is applied by the data layer, so a query that forgets the clinic returns nothing instead of another clinic's patients.
What does it cost?
Solo, ₹4,999 a year (1 doctor); Clinic, ₹9,999 a year (Receptionist and admin roles). Founding price for the first 20 clinics, ₹3,999 a year. Every plan starts with a free 1-month pilot. Per clinic, not per user. Prices exclusive of GST. Billed yearly. No setup fee. Write to hello@myopdesk.com to start or to stop.
Do you take a cut of my collections?
No. OPDesk charges a flat yearly fee and never touches your money. Payments go directly to you.
Who owns the patient data?
You do. It is your clinic's record of your patients. Write to us and we will arrange a copy of your records. There is no fee for asking.
Do you store Aadhaar numbers?
OPDesk has no Aadhaar field and never asks for one. Please do not type Aadhaar numbers into notes.
Is OPDesk connected to ABDM?
No live ABDM connection yet. Patient records include ABHA fields.
Why should I trust a one-person product?
You can reach the person who wrote it. Write to hello@myopdesk.com and a person answers.
Will it work in a rural clinic with unreliable power?
It runs in a browser on the computer you already have. A UPS on the front desk computer covers a power cut. The queue lives on the server, so it is still there after a restart.
Read the two pages that answer the rest.
Request a demo on your own desk.
Register a patient, run the board, close a visit, and print the prescription. If it does not earn its place, tell us and we stop. Ask and we will arrange a copy of your records.
Or email hello@myopdesk.com.
Or leave a number here. No card. Every plan starts with a free 1-month pilot.
